Well I cant find a better way to say it,,,, why SMD? why most of the parts are specified to be SMD package? is there an advantage of SMD that cant be achieved by any other package??

The Twister2 is SMD. It was redesigned to SMD because someone was complaining it's
interfering with a TV so the high frequency properties had to be improved. This required
change to SMD.

SMD has other advantages - fast soldering, smaller PCB (cheaper), smaller device.
But has also a disadvantage that it's possible to make an unsoldered joint that is
apparent only under magnification.

NE592 is no longer produced by NXP

TL592 and uA733 14 pins are obsolete and no longer produced by TI

 

how can I assemble a device with discontinued products???

Please help me find a replacement...
