Hi

is it ok to build ronja Tx , Rx with matrix board ( not breadboard ) ? also
i'am thinking of using small pins ( femail pins ) , and sldering them to the
board ,
and placing the electronics ontop of them , is that ok ?
one more thing , how on god's green earth shall i solder the dual-gate
MOSFET - in the Rx - airwired !? it's 2mm max :)

No Ronja can't be soldered on matrix board it needs the
ground plane.

I can recommend transformer soldering gun with a thin
wire instead of the soldering lug.

you built the Tx and Rx on PCBs, so what is the difference between pin boards and PCB? and how does it work with PCB without plate and doesnt in airwire??

Subject: [Ronja] Crystal Oscillator in Hertz

Hi,

I am trying to build the Hertz, yet I found something inconvenient, the Oscillator in the list is a Crystal one which as far as I know comes in two pin package only with no pin specified for Vcc or Ground, yet according to the schematics the oscillator got at least 4 pins with two used, pin 4 as Vcc and 3 as output

so I would like to know if the ordinary crystal oscillator works or shall I look for a chip oscillator? and if I have to look for chip package what is the one I should use?
