I've produced double-sided Ronja receiver boards using toner transfer OK, although they are tricky to reflow solder and it's easy to end up with shorts. You can solder them by hand but it takes ages. I did one using toaster oven reflow, the trouble is getting it right. You really need something with the gauge of a hypodermic needle to apply the solder paste... They're cheap and easily available in .uk now, mine was second-hand for beer money. I had best success with re-using scrap clay paper and an old laser printer I picked up from a recycling depot. Use the darkest setting. I did one side at a time, making sure to protect the lower layer once done, otherwise the toner will just flake off. "Silicon Components" ran an advertisment in Electronics For You (March 2008) showing High Watt Luxeon LumiLeds, they might be able to provide the HPWT or atlest the Luxeon Star, Pramod on the mailing list had made a driver circuit for the same, but they deal in bulk quantities. Anyways can you suggest an LED which could be used and is available in India ? > > > BPW43 you can get from RSIndia.com > > Regards, > Arun > > > ----- Original message ----- > From: "Deepak Mishra" > To: "Twibright Ronja" > Date: Fri, 30 May 2008 16:54:54 +0530 > Subject: [Ronja] Need the BPW43 & HPWT > > Hi ! > I am having the hardest time sourcing the photodiode and the LED here in > India. > I need it urgently because this is my Btech project. > > I can use a laser pointer instead of an LED. > But the BPW43 is not easily available here . > Can anyone point me as to where I can find it in India. > > or even better could some one courier it to me ? > > Cheers, > Deepak > > -- > Twibright Ronja mailing list http://ronja.twibright.com > Ronja at lists.pointless.net > http://pointless.net/mailman/listinfo/ronja > -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... I also don't have BPW43s. I bought only two and used them in my construction, sorry :( Try RS. It's a bit expensive, but they work.
