[Ronja] Optical Filter for better reception

Hi,
I was wondering is adding an optical filter in the Rx module would help ?
Inserting a band pass optical filter, after the lens, which would allow only
a range of frequencies
emitted by the LED to pass through,
I think as a result of reducing the noise, it should increase the range.
Has anyone tried this ?
