Hey Saad,
You can never completely trust used parts. Best you could do is buy a
lot of extras and then test each of them before using them. Since they
are next to impossible to find, I'm open to using any I can find.

diode.

It has a rise time of 7ns and a half angle of 30 degrees at 2.1 volts.
Please let me know if this may be used as an alternate to HSDL-4230.

Any idea from where they might have extracted those? And would they
still be reliable to work with?
