Laser diode is not a part of the design, because it is not eye-safe.

AUI forte and Twister2 are principally the same - converting ethernet to 
signal for Rx and Tx. AUI forte is older design for AUI connector 
equipped cards. Twister2 is designed for RJ45.

Yes, these only signalize status. Twister is usually placed indoors as 
it is not suitable to run outdoors.

The transmitting LED is super bright RED led in case of metropolis and 
tetrapolis and infra red light diode in case of inferno.

This was just a technically impressive thing Karel has seen at some 
exhibition. Nothing more.

The translators of easy languages (such as English) are ususally of poor 
quality. Czech language is moch more complicated and nearly cannot be 
auto translated (not speaking about verbal form of the language - this 
is really impossible).
