[Ronja] Multiple Transmitter?

I have been studying the commercial alternatives to RONJA, and
although they offer more range, higher speeds, and more features, I
really did not find anything that would offset the extreme price
attached to these units.  However, I did notice one design feature
that could potentially be applied to RONJA.

The use of multiple transmitters.  I am not too sure how this would
affect the range of the system, a larger "objective" lens would be the
simplest solution to that particular problem, however in the use of
extremely tall buildings, which have the tendency to sway, or drift
around relative to each other, the small divergence of each
transmitter could be put to good use, over shorter distances, an
intentional "mis-focus" of the transmitter could be appropriate as
well.

Your thoughts?
