You could glue copper foil inside the box and solder it together along the
corners. Then install the components. Then add foil over it, solder it too, so
now it would be completely soldered up. Then install the lid. But if you needed
to repair or fix a bug from the manufacture, you would have to desolder the
foil. But I think the metal box is easier to make than this.
