I see the lens could be used as these are fresnel lens, but I don't know
how to use the retroreflector as it only transmists signal back to the
same direction it received. Maybe for high quality aiming these
monsterious lens :]
This could be such fun to test. I heard about implementing some easy
morse code beacon with ID of the watch-light in mediterinean sea as this
light was occupied by a radioamateur. The beacon was readable in
distances over 80km.
