That's interesting. Didn't the plastic pipe have traces of oil or grease?  The
tube is not PVC but probably polypropylene (PP-H) by the label? Are you sure
you used transparent sealant and not brown? Also, was the sealant the acidic
(smelly) one or the neutral silicon?

Turning brown doesn't matter for Ronja function but falling off does. However
plastic pipes must not be used anyway because of fire hazard so I don't think
it makes sense to investingate this as a bug and fix it in the guide :/
